When I began my journey in education, I always pictured myself as a grade-level teacher. My younger self would be surprised to find out that I was the Visual Art teacher for grades Pre-K to 8 for two years! I have worked with teachers to integrate art into core curriculum as well as designed lessons to various grades that teach the technical aspects of creating art, as well as the philosophies behind different art movements and practical applications of art skills and knowledge in varying career paths. I have always tried to bring creativity and art into my own classroom, and so I truly relished the chance to bring that passion to the school-wide level!
